Press Release from the BPT Group

The Masters Programme has 10 modules and a dissertation and can be completed over three years.

The modules include:

  • Business Process Foundations
  • Business Process Measurement
  • Business Process Improvement
  • Operations Management
  • Business Process Modelling
  • Business Process Change Management
  • Services Management
  • Research Methods
  • Customer Value and Process
  • Business Process Leadership

It will also be possible to substitute some of these modules for alternatives in marketing, HRM, project management, accounting and finance etc.

The modules will be delivered by Exeter University Professors, staff from the BPT Group, guest speakers from industry and leading international academics. The modules will be delivered from a base in the Midlands of the UK with a global reach. It is not necessary to have a first degree to enter the programme; significant commercial experience is a well accepted alternative. The modular approach will massively reduce the overall cost to students and their sponsoring organisations, while at the same time giving participants the time to assimilate and apply the subject material before moving onto the next stage.

"The BPT Group training and development structure dovetails precisely with the standards and direction of our Masters programme", said Professor Roger Maull. "We are pleased to be in partnership with a group of business change professionals whose front-line experience with organizations worldwide will bring highly relevant expertise to our masters programme structure, content and delivery”

One crucial aspect of the program is the action learning support networks, three sessions of support provided for each individual between each module. These are aimed at helping the delegate through the challenges of the assessment procedure, for example, through providing additional teaching, reading drafts of work, guiding the writing of an assessment and structuring the assessment.

Subject: Partnership between Exeter University Centre for Strategic Processes and Operations and the BPT Group

Individuals and organizations have the right to be assured that the quality of the training and development programmes they subscribe to are of a high a standard. Some providers distribute course and other certificates like confetti, the authenticity and veracity of which, beyond simple attendance, have no discernable pedigree. Besides our accreditation by Edexcel, the UK's leading and a truly global accrediting agency (active in 119 countries) we are now pleased to announce our partnership with Exeter University Business School, who will be using our approach to transforming business processes as an integral part of their soon to be launched Master Degree in Business Process Management.

The University of Exeter

University of Exeter's Centre for Strategic Processes and Operations http://www.centres.ex.ac.uk/xspo/ has joined forces with the BPT Group (www.bptg.org) to develop an exciting new Masters programme in Business Process Management.

The University of Exeter is rated firmly in the premier league of UK universities according to all the latest national surveys and the Business school has recently been rated number one for student satisfaction. Business Process Management research is one of three strategic research centres set up with the business school (along with leadership and services). XSPO (the Exeter University Centre for Strategic Processes and Operations) has previously developed a bespoke tailored MSc in BPM for three organizations; a leading building society, high street bank and regional utility and now offers the MSc to organisations or individuals.

BPT Group

"The BPT Group are pleased to announce this groundbreaking relationship with the Exeter University XSPO as a powerful example of how the academic and commercial business development worlds can come together and enhance the already high added value of their respective approaches," said David Lyneham-Brown, CEO of the BPT Group. "The rapidly developing remit of the business change professional demands the highest quality training and development expertise and the already acknowledged value of our training, accreditation and certification processes can only be enhanced by our involvement in this joint programme".
